Pure Breeds The Aussie The Australian Terrier-He is one of the few non-English terriers. They're very playful energetic and very loyal pets they can also be affectionate, and terrific companions for immediate family they are great for elderly or handicapped individuals. They have a quiet nature this is what makes them great for handicapped , elderly , and or children. The first Australian Terrier Club was formed in Australian in 1887 . The Australian Terrier was first registered by a Kennel Club of England. The United States were not introduced to the "Aussie" until 1957, but some researchers have records as far back as 1940 for the U.S. it wasn't until 1977 that the Australian terrier club of America became an American kennel club member club . Some have confused the Australian terrier with the American known Silky Terrier . They can adjust well to different living conditions, and climates. Normally their height range is 10-11 inches.
